Skyrim quests you should fail.

Other than a couple "evil" playthroughs, I always fail "With Friends Like These" by getting rid of Astrid and then destroying the dark brotherhood. Being hero of Skyrim does not fit well with murdering helpless people for money.

Getting a gun quest? Is that a typo or have I been going without a gun for all these years?

I’m assuming they meant to say fun

If High King Torygg had a gun, Skyrim would still be safe. Don't be like Torygg. Don't go gunless.

sorry. Fun quest. No guns other than arrows, bolts and the blodskall. :-)

I'm not into evil characters so I killed Eola during the Namira quest and refused to betray Erandur, luckily unless you're looking for artifacts to collect both items are useless when it comes to combat. I also refused to kill the hostages in the shack and got rid of Astrid instead.

“Join the Stormcloaks”, I always fail that one. And “Paarthurnax”.

Take my upvote my fellow imperial.

I just can't kill good old Paarthurnax. I got advice on how to get the useful items from Svern. First, I killed Ulfric before getting the time scroll (I really don't like Gunmar's speeches, so I go Imperial). Get the scroll and go to Svern before reading it. That way you'll find out where the dragons are, get a special potion with unlimited duration, a couple of blessings. After getting the items, go on with reading the scrolls. Since there is no need for a summit, you never see the blades again.

Super sneak the statue out of there. Return it to the beggar. Go back to the temple and get caught by the lady saying there is a meeting going on. Complete quest. You have now succeeded in both quests.

ArmandoFranco17

Wow. Will do it. It is actually hard to get caught.

Cidna mine lmao I always end up killing all the dudes in the jail.

Image
ArmandoFranco17

Yeah, there was too much "go talk to this guy, and then to this other guy, and then go back to the first one...". I used to just kill them and move forward.

Not saying you should fail it if you want the mace but most of the time I plant a poison on Logrof and say I found him that way.

There's a line of thinking that you should fail all of the quests that benefit Maven Black Briar in any way.

I just kill the guy who is guarding the house. It is too much trouble to find the ink in the lake.

iressivor

As a good aligned character I often choose to fail the House of Horrors quest in Markarth. I would much rather give Logrolf a merciful death when I find him than torture him repeatedly for Molag Bal's pleasure.

I play as a very good character... to my daughters. I will kill people and loot stuff for them. Tried to steal nice things but they don't seem to take stolen stuff.

Don't complete the lost dog quest because Barbados is the best talking pet that never dies you could ever have.

Image

I hate that dog so much

Tough choice. The mask is very helpful early in the game.
