That’s to be expected! It means your body is building up the immunity. It should really only last like 12-24hrs.
Walgreens in another city. I got mine a month ago that way
Fayetteville for me lol
Got mine at Harris Teeter's pharmacy. Bonus is you can walk around the store for the 15min they require you stick around to make sure you dont have any reactions to it.
"They require you stick around" I can imagine them tackling you to the ground if you try and leave at just 14 minutes.
If you don't mind answering... how long were you on the wait list?
quick follow up clarification: was it through the site I posted above that you got on the wait list for PNC?
Just as an FYI to everybody. YMMV, I went with my wife last week and it took over 2 hours.
I found this website to be very helpful. Also, timing is important. Walgreens tends to open up appointments on Tuesdays and Fridays.
I received my vaccine from Cape Fear Valley down in Fayetteville. They have plenty of appointments open and you can essentially pick whatever time is convenient to you.
WakeMed's sign-up is a bit cumbersome (you have to sign up, wait for a code to be emailed, and sign up again). So you may want to start that process.
I don't even think they care about the sequential appointments. My wife and I did those and they just brought us together at the same time and told us that when we sign up for dose 2, if we can't find appts close together, as long as it's appointments on the same day they can take us both at the same time again. Basically saying one appointment was for 7am and one for 7pm, both show at 7 am and get the shot at the same time.
I got mine through
Yep. Walgreens was pretty straightforward once they got resupplied. You're not locked to county boundaries or anything like that, so check close to home and expand outward from there.
If you're willing to drive to the Smithfield Walmart, they usually have appointments available together.
If you’re willing to drive to Saint Pauls, they’ve got availability at their Walgreens pretty consistently. That’s where I got my first one a month ago and my second one on Monday. Staff is super nice and it’s not a bad drive. The address is 419 W Broad St, Saint Pauls, NC 28384. Makes it easier to find on the Walgreens app
I used the WakeGov signup site on April 5th, got an email today saying I am able to make an appointment. I am going next Wednesday to get the Pfizer vaccine and was able to pick a time and location close to my home.
Nice! We signed up via the wake gov site on the 5th as well...maybe I’ll get an email soon!
My friend, her 3 siblings and parents all got theirs at Realo Drugs in Four Oaks within minutes of each other. Both doses. If you don't mind the drive
I did essentially this and was able to make an appt for next week:
Vaccinespotter.org has worked really well for me
Try small independent pharmacy.got my 1st last mo.2nd this mo.
Got on the UNC site this morning planning to add my family to a wait list. Instead wound up with 3 appointments tomorrow morning in Rocky Mount plus one Saturday morning.
Yourshot.org ! Made an appointment for tomorrow!
Walgreens is super easy. Try online first but if you can’t get an appointment then stop by your local Walgreens and ask. I got my shot at the Walgreens in fuquay and after both shots they let me schedule my wife in store. She gets her second shot tomorrow. Both times no slots available online but they told me in store that had multiple slots available.
I got my first in Chatham county this afternoon from Starmed. It was a bit of a drive but once I got there I had no wait at all. It was a drive-thru as well so I just pulled up, got a form, filled it out, drove to the tent, got my shot and then drove to the 15 minute waiting area.
Duke has a lot of availability now. There’s no wait list right now.
