Salvation Army does pickups and accepts furniture and other stuff.
I second this suggestion. We donated a dining room table and it was a breeze thanks to them
You can try putting them on Offer Up and see if anyone will come pick them up and take them off your hands.
The White Dove store used to do this. Not sure if it’s changed from the pandemic, but it could be worth looking into.
No as far as I know nobody does that.
When I downsized to a new place I posted some furniture to Facebook marketplace for free. I was inundated with responses but in chatting with some people I was able to give a couch and chair to a single mom and a dinette set to a newlywed couple with a baby. Can also do next door and other sites but I was able to find people I was happy to help and they showed up to haul everything away. It ended up being super easy.
Why not post on
You can post it for free in Offerup, facebook marketplace and craiglist. You cannot imagine how many people will take it for free. If you have multiple items you can bundle and ask them to take 2 or 3 items at the time. Example if you know that a sofa will go fast, you can ask them to also take another item or 2 for free, so you can get rid off everything faster.
Make a post! FB marketplace, offer up. People will come take them off your hands
I work with halo animal rescue from time to time and we do the removal. Thrift shop funds the animal shelter.
