Hello darkness my old friend. The bengals bungled agains
Time for some Burrow magic?
First game burrow lost with a 50-50 PI call then botched FG.
At this rate, I think Burrow finishing a game Uninjured and without massive TBI is an achievement.
Joe burrow is gonna die behind the bengals o-line smh
Burrow looks great, it's a shame he is stuck on the Bengals.
I had money on the Bengals to lose by less than 6. I thought I was cooked until Burrow led his non-comeback comeback at the end and the Bengals lost by only 5 points! Burrow won me $4.63! A legend is born today. The legend of Big Money Burrow.
They need a better O line. I can see them being better next year.
This game shouldn’t have been this close. I know a lot of the Browns defense is injured but cmon, if I was watching the game without being able to see the score I’d have thought the Browns won 40-17. We’re doing all the little things wrong on defense.
Definitely room for improvement. I’m beyond happy to see the offense coming together though, and the D will improve as they get some of their guys back.
Yeah another year of not winning a fucking game😡
I know that feeling
The fact that they struggled that much against the bengals says I would bet money the browns dont even sniff the playoffs
Hardly a struggle. Bengals were the ones struggling...what game were you watching?
Define "sniff the playoffs," I'm curious what your standard is there. I'm not going to say we're playoff bound, but we had a weird/short offseason where we hired a new head coach who has installed our young QB's 4th offensive system in three years. If we'd looked like we did last Sunday I'd be tempted to agree with you that we were done when we usually are, but there's a lot of improvement in terms of development by the coach and much of the team that can still be accomplished against a schedule that isn't easy but isn't insanely tough either. I don't think it's unreasonable to think we could still be in the hunt in weeks 14/15, even if we're on the outside looking in.
Just imagine if Burrow went to the Saints as the heir apparent to Brees. Cincy better protect him.
I’ve got to admit. I’m a Colleen Wolfe kinda guy
Is that a bad bandwagon to be on?
Good game I want to see the Browns have a winning season
Same. Those fucking fans deserve it so bad.
Same man. I feel for this team and when they're on they're a fun team to watch.
Burrow looked good for someone who has to play behind a line that can't protect him. If his line was even has good as the eagles line (/s), he might not have to throw 61 times a game. Burrow could have a solid career. But not if the Bengals can't protect him. He'll end up with a busted knee like RG3.
Burrow is a warrior with ice water in his veins! Sacked 9 times and still setting up clutch drives at the end of his first two games. Didn't get the W but he is already changing the culture of the team. Just need to focus on protecting the guy first and foremost.
Thanks for this realistic, not “bitter cause your team didn’t get burrow” comment. Very fair assessment.
If these teams had switched QBs the Browns would have won like 45-10. Burrow is already better than Baker, he's just stuck on a much shittier team.
OBJ loves shit tho
45? It would be over 50burger man
Is Irvin drunk?
Steve smith’s eyes were low as hell
I really think so. Drunk and tired. He sounds like he had too much and some has worn off
That was a fun game to watch. Seems like a lot more horrible calls than usual. I guess that's expected. I feel for Burrow because he did pretty much everything he could. But he's also rich as fuck no so idk. I'm going to go eat a Publix sub now
I heard Bengals were down 2 DTs for the game. And that clearly showed during the game when the Browns rushed for 217 and 3 TDs. No way in hell you lose that game if all you have to do is snap the ball and hand it off lol if Browns had Orlovsky as their QB they’d still win
Joey covering for the boys is the story of the game.
Id rather have joe than trevor. Fight me.
Who is going to fight you over that? That take isn't particularly bold or controversial I don't think.
I mean Joe just had the best college season ever and is proving himself the nfl right now. Is this take even warm?
I fucking love you man
The NFL really is looking a lot more like the college game in every way now.
I actually kind of like it.
that’s a good thing!!!!
This game thread was sponsored by Biofreeze - alleviate your neck pain from all that Joe Burrow dicksucking!
I thought this was a reference to how awesome burrow was despite getting destroyed all game because his offensive line is terrible
Irvin sounds drunk
Has anyone seen Joe Burrow flash beyond an Alex Smith? Arm talent just doesn’t jump off the tape for me. High iq guy, mobile in the pocket but he’s missed so many “pro-level” throws. I think he’ll hover in that Jared Goff/Carson Wentz tier for his career. Maybe compete for a title once on the back of a solid roster/scheme but I don’t think he’ll live up to the first overall hype. *edit for spelling.
I've watched Goff play every single one of his games in college, and a good number of his games as a pro.
I think he'll be above average. Especially if he can get some protection. Of course he's going to miss some throws. Its his 2nd game and messed up off-season/training camps. Bottom line its WAY too early to tell.
It’s his second game. Of course he is going to miss pro level throws.
You guys ever see someone write a bunch of stuff to sound smart but instead show how dumb they are?
He just threw for 300 yards and 3 TDs behind the worst offensive line ever assembled in his second game.
Still have no idea how I feel about the Browns but the Bengals are going to get Burrow killed
I just hope to god Joe Burrow doesn't end up like Andrew Luck.
Andrew Luck won a playoff game. Thats prolly all they want tbh
Bengals are my 1A, Colts are my 1B. I share your hopes
Onside rule is awful as everyone is saying.
I've had this same thought
That was way better than a Browns v Bengals game has any right to be. Burrow is the truth, with a better OL he could win the super bowl. Baker w Stefanski looks miles better already. Chubb and Hunt are the second most potent run threat in football other than the Ravens.
“Burrow is the truth” lmao 🧢🧢🧢
Onside kicks are fucked now. If you have 2 TOs or less after the two minute warning then you basically lost.
Lmao the irony
Honestly I like that idea that they threw around of one play 4th and 15 or whatever. It would still have problems, but the onside kicks now are just pointless. They basically never work
Burrow already better than baker lol. Browns lucky to be playing the worst run defense in the league.
Baker can play a fantastic game after getting shit on for a year and still people will find a way to shit on him.
80% of the Browns defense is injured right now.
Browns defense is 4 starters and some sacks of potato’s rn
As a Bengals fan I expected to lose. It’s so great to see a quarterback who wants to win like Burrow. Optimism isn’t one of our strong suits watching this team but this guy just feels so much different. Win or lose I’m excited to see how he develops.
Burrow played a great game. Its something to build upon.
As a Bengals fan, I am worried with what I just saw. I mean, he’s crazy impressive but that’s wayyy too many throws to be asking of him.
What more can Burrow do?
Make 5 Anthony Munoz clones like it’s Jurassic Park
Request a trade to a team with an O-Line that will help keep him alive. That man is going to be dead before this season ends.
Throw 70 passes?
Burrow still licking his fingers.
I hear he reads the dictionary for fun.
Just a brutal no cover by the browns there
I considered putting a bill on that -6.
Bengals vs Browns defense
The Bengals didn't have one QB hit? Not including the post INT block
Do you think Joe wouldn't want the ball?
LET ME SEE BURROW DAB UP OBJ AND LANDRY U WORTHLESS ESPN
Cleveland offense looking pretty good! The Bengals showed some life! Definitely a fun game overall, I'm happy for both franchises.
Who the fuck let Chris Weinke throw 63 times?!
Just looked it up.
I mean, at that point? I'm pretty sure that Weinke was older than John Fox, so he could just do whatever he wanted.
joe burrow looks decent tbh
How are the Browns going to lose this game?
One guy was touched when his knee was down outside the goal line, one guy Wasn’t
Burrow is a gamer man. 61 attempts, scrambling and getting rocked all game but still puts up 30 points. Props for that
Lets be honest the browns are way more talented than the bengals and the fact they kept it to 5 and joe looked awesome should make you guys feel good.
Normally I’d agree but honestly there’s not a huge difference between our defense and their offense rn
Courageous onside kick attempt by bullock. Imagine if his his knee cap was still attached
Wait that’s it? We all just gotta go to bed knowing joe buck is fine getting corona from Troy Aikman... we already knew that.
AJ Green might be on the waiver wire honestly. 13 targets, 3 receptions. dropped some easy balls
I started him expecting him to get plenty of targets. I was so upset when he dropped that late touchdown catch.
Browns are now 1-1
Curious why Baker is holding onto that ball
Maybe keeping it for the coach
Joe Burrow is really impressive. It's too bad his o-line is made of punters.
Punters is too much credit. His O-line is made up of 5 of me, at a robust 5'7" 125lb.
Well Pats will end up with Burrow somehow.
Wow. I was thinking this exact thing just now too.
This was a good TNF game. Kinda rare tbh
Game went better than I was expecting
He has to be, like, 85 by now.
Burrow should demand a trade. That shit org should be relegated to XFL
Burrow might be one of the few QB to get a Tommy John at this rate.
Lol Bengals covered the spread on that
Big Money Burrow!
61 throws, no real mistakes. Future is bright for Cincy.
Unless he keeps getting hit like this
Koo is why they'll never fix onside kicks.
Un-fucking-believable. Half a yard. Lost a bet by a half a yard on a kneel.
Pretty straight forward game.
Bengals giving Mixon a big new contract. Run him 16 times and barely have him in the game in the fourth quarter. Smort.
Yeah, agreed that we should lose the game in order to get a higher ROI out of our running back. Since that’s the goal: high ROI on salaries, not wins.
I'll never understand why teams give running backs huge contracts. Spend that money on your offense line. How many teams this year have good running backs on their roster still on a rookie contract? Bills, Rams, Packers, ect. Unless he's once in a generation, like Zeke or maybe even Cook, I just don't see running backs being worth a big hit of cap space.
that was a really fun game
Life is pain
Stream dies with 45 second lol feck
I know big rip
JOE BURROW TIED 37 ALL TIME FOR PASS ATTEMPTS IN A GAME
This game was way better than I thought it would be.
my man burrow is a housewife, desperately asking 'CAN I GET SOME HELP AROUND HERE??'
Need that YungHoe kick
Baker with the expert timing, to make that the last play lol
The ref had a quick whistle before his knee was down too
Unpopular opinion: AJ Green needs to be traded. He doesn't want to play here and he hasn't made a big catch in two years.
Why would we trade him when his value is at the lowest its ever been
Just pull a texans and get rid of your young quarterbacks best target.
he's played 2 games in the past 2 years lmao
He looks washed, and it’s sad.
we gotta protect burrow. next draft, we need some starting caliber Olineman as 1st priority and dline as 2nd priority
Bro Joey gonna be dead by then
I don’t think he’ll last till the draft man
There is no reason your QB should throw 60+ passes in a single game.
Yeah but what if the Bengals HC is facing a fantasy football opponent that's starting Joe Mixon tho?
that is some college air raid shit
kinda expected Bryant to give Janovich a lil kiss there
If the bengals don’t have the fumble they may win this
Bengals +6.5. Oh yeah.
Who is Joe Mixon?
Why is Baker keeping the ball?
Stefanskis first win maybe
Did you see those handoffs! Carried them to victory!
I'm sure he will have his growing pains as a rookie, but Joe Burrow is going to be a stud. Happy for the Bengals fans.
If he survives. That O-line is going to get him killed this year.
If he doesn’t die
Aikman making sure the beer doesn't go to waste without the fans
Feel like we played better than the score. Maybe not.
Punted once, only one turnover, yet Cinci had a chance to get the onside kick for a win.
You guys absolutely did. It's just the shitty "prevent" defense at the end of games that made the game close. It's like the coaches decide to play D as safe as possible because if they gave up a long TD pass because they brought the safety down would reflect worse on them then giving up a TD in prevent.
I think your offense looked good. Also playing against the bengals, but yknow.
Gotta love the garbage time cover on Cincy+6
And Browns for the win. Now, I can enjoy this week till we get blown out next week
Burrow looks legit, the Bungles look horrible
They just let burrow get the shit kicked out of him for a drive that had no chance to win game.
Please fix onside kicks NFL
Or clone Younghoe Koo 31 times
No... no.. we’re good.
Thanks Ohio, that was thoroughly entertaining!
Burrow is going to end like Luck isn't he?
He’ll start the NBA super star drama in the NFL and hold out until traded to a team he wants to be on
Hey, atleast the Bengals covered the spread.
Meh, coulda been worse.
new onside kicks are so wack
The offside kick rule is awful
Mr. Koo disagrees.
What is it?
New no running start on onsides rule sucks
