Since last week Corbin had been getting progressively worse. He'd needed more breathing support and we didn't know of any reasoning. Yesterday they tested him for viruses, and the RSV test came back positive.
You guys are amazing. Each time I see a post where you experience a challenge it's overwhelmingly positive.
Both of my kids had RSV. One of them twice.
You’re doing great dad. RSV is really scary in newborns but he’s in great hands and just like they said it breaks and before you know it they’re doing wonderfully again.
You both still have this, don't fret, and don't blame yourselves. Just keep being strong for the little guy and all will work out.
Hopefully this is the last hurdle for Corbin. Hope you guys are doing well.
Unfortunately even if we try our hardest viruses can get transmitted via healthcare providers too so it may not have been any one person’s fault! (I’m an RN so I’m familiar with transmission). You both are great parents and he is learning that from day one you both are in his corner! You should only be proud of yourselves and don’t be so hard on yourself. Cheering for Corbin (and you guys) from Oregon!
Thank goodness, I’m so glad to hear he’s doing better! We’ve been thinking about him so much lately and sending prayers to the universe for him. All the love to you guys from Denmark!
Oh cr*p, RSV! Wishing you all the best, little Corbin is a fighter!
Glad he's doing better. Little dude is a bright ray of sunshine.
I am so sorry your family is suffering this hardship. Corbin is so lucky to have such incredible parents on his side. I don't know if your family is religious, and I mean no offense if you aren't, but I pray incredibly often for all three of you.
Thank you so much!!!
I hope you're though the thick of this particular scare and sending you guys a little extra love this evening.
Glad he's getting better! When he gets to go home you'll be able to say he's been through it all
Corbin is a warrior-he'll pull through everything put in his way!
Hang in there baby boy
Just checking on our guy; how is he doing today?
