Honestly, you should probably turn down before you hurt yourselves ... and I really hope you all have top notch custom fit hearing protection ... but moving right along ...
Listen to this advice and get the 210 Rumble cabinet. It’s the exact same size as the Rumble 500. I’ve had this combo, plenty loud.
I haven’t compared the 2 in person, but the Markbass is 400W compared to the 500W of your Rumble. So if you need all the power of the Rumble, the Markbass is probably not going to cut it. If you have plenty of headroom left on the Rumble, the Markbass will be fine. If your signal gets sent to the FOH anyway, then the Markbass will be fine for gigging.
Fair assessment. I guess both tone and power or at least upgraded tone with at least the same amount of power. So far I just can’t find a combo under 1000 used
If you need power (you do) and you don’t like the Rumble then check out the GK combos. The Fusions are in the 1500ish area but they are fantastic. Essentially neodymium drivers and their flagship 800 fusion head in one nice package. The MB series is more affordable and you can get matching powered cabs to make a modular rig. A good of friend of mine has 1 MB112 (the combo amp) and 2 MBP112s (the powered extension cabs). He can run 1,2 or all 3 cabs (500,1000 or 1500 watts) depending on the gig need. Great platform.
Can I have your 500?
